Engaged Learning Coordinator
Salt Lake Community College
Being both an international education professional and student, I am passionate about discovering world-learning paradigms and advancing global education. I aspire to build bridges of understanding between people, cultures and ideologies to promote intercultural collaboration. As an Engaged Learning Coordinator at Salt Lake Community College, I manage study abroad, and community-engaged learning programs, driving student participation and cross-cultural understanding. I oversee grant distribution across various academic disciplines, ensuring equitable financial support, and guide students as a Gilman Scholarship Advisor to secure international education funding. My background includes managing onboarding for international students and employees in human resources, creating inclusive environments, and supporting global initiatives at the University of Utah’s Eccles School of Business. Additionally, I also taught English in Japan through the JET Program, where I collaborated with local educators to promote intercultural awareness and language development. Currently, I am pursuing an MSc in International Education at the University of St Andrews to strengthen my ability to shape transformative global learning experiences and conduct research that advances the field of international education.
