PROGRAM DIRECTOR
SLANG GLOBAL (THE ASSOC FOR SPAN LANG ADVANCEMENT IN NIGERIA), Nigeria
Aisha Yusuf serves as the Program Director at the Association of Spanish Language Advancement in Nigeria (SLANG GLOBAL). As the program director of SLANG GLOBAL, Ms. Yusuf works closely with the Founder to achieve the mission and vision by advocating and building essential relationships. She has worked as a management, communications and advocacy strategist to a range of multilateral and bilateral donors including Ford Foundation, World Bank, USAID, and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) through the West African Health Organization.
With her experience in advocacy, management, and strategy implementation, she is passionate about development initiatives that focus on human capacity development for women and youth. She is committed to bridging the literacy gap in Africa and her love for languages and culture has led to her promoting Spanish language and culture in Nigeria which creates awareness and understanding of the Spanish-speaking African Diaspora of Latin America, the Caribbean and USA.
Aisha Yusuf is a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) and she is also a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) think-tank tasked with drafting policy documents that improve Human Resources in Nigeria. She is an advocate of sustainable development in Africa.
