Emily Durham MS.Ed., is the founding Program Director of the Rubenstein Student-Athlete Civic Engagement Program (ACE) at Duke University, which provides immersive, international community engagement programs for Duke D-I student-athletes. ACE, originally established through a partnership with Stanford Athletics, stands as a unique program in the NCAA, impacting over 340 student-athletes over the past ten years. With over fifteen years of experience in international higher education, Emily holds a B.A. in English from Pomona College, a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke. Post-graduation, Emily was awarded a Fulbright ETA Fellowship to South Korea and has served as the Assistant Director of Programs at DukeEngage, where she oversaw faculty and staff-led international and US-based community engagement programs. At Duke, Emily oversees all administrative and programmatic functions of the ACE program within the Duke Athletics Department.
