Beth Whitney has enjoyed working in education for more than 25 years as a teacher, adviser, coach, and administrator. She joined Fay School in 2010 as the Director of Admission and currently serves as Associate Head of School. Her previous admissions experience has included Middlebury College, Yale University, and Choate Rosemary Hall, where she also served as Director of International Students.
Beth was nominated Middlebury College’s Woman of the Year in 1998, was given a Marin Education Fund Hero in Education Award in 2003, and represented the United States at the United Nations’ University for Peace Educating for the 21st Century program in 2006. Beth has published articles and photographs in magazines, newspapers, and books, and was a contributing editor for the National Association for Independent School’s book International Students in Independent Schools: A Guide for Educators (2nd ed.) in 2013. She has presented at over a dozen conferences in the United States and Europe on topics related to international students. She has served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for AISAP and on the Junior Boarding Schools Association Steering Committee, and currently serves on the Gateway to Prep Schools board.
