Oliver Kessler is an economist and political scientist (Master in International Affairs and Governance, University of St Gall) and has been working as a lecturer, researcher and organisational consultant at the Institute of Business and Regional Economics (IBR) at the Lucerne School of Business since 2003. His work focuses on the development of strategies, organisations, leadership cultures and collaborations, particularly in social services, the healthcare sector and higher education. He headed the Competence Centre for Public & Nonprofit Management at the IBR from 2006 to 2020 and was co-director of the Master of Advanced Studies in Management in Social Services and Healthcare from 2004 to 2019. Since 2012, he has been co-head of the research and consulting program "Management and Policy in Health Care" and since 2019 he has been head of the International Office of the Lucerne School of Business. Additionally, since 2024 he is a co-head of the Interdisciplinary Network Health at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Over the last 20 years, he has developed, lead and organised countless short-term programmes in Switzerland and abroad. These have taken place on-site, in hybrid form or online. Before joining the HSLU, he held various positions in nonprofit organisations, public administration and the private sector.
