Professor Fernando Torres de la Torre holds a Bachelor's degree in Language Teaching and a Master's degree in Linguistics, with additional graduate studies in Education from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. He also studied Japanese Language and Culture at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and pursued graduate studies in East Asian Studies at Yonsei University in South Korea.
He has held several leadership positions in the areas of Languages and Linguistics, University Exchange Programs, Asian and Latin American Studies, Master's in Translation and Interpretation, and International Graduate Programs. He was the founder and director of the School of International Relations at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. In addition to his teaching work at UAG, he has taught at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Currently, he is the Director of Internationalization at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, where he has promoted and facilitated international academic collaboration for five decades.
