Continue your tour at The Basement, a space in the Design and Innovation Building, which allows curious
students to discover new ways of thinking and doing through collaboration. This dedicated start-up
incubator allows students to make a positive difference in the world from the ground up, allowing them
to bring their ideas to life with design and innovation. In the Entrepreneurship Center, see the nexus of a
vibrant creative ecosystem, entrepreneurial network and experiential learning. The final stop is the
Cultural Heritage Engineering Initiative (CHEI)’s Wide-Angle Virtual Environment (WAVE) lab, a global
earth science research initiative. Learn how the WAVE lab pushes the envelope of BIG-VR, exploring
techniques that enable the creation of ultra-high resolution, immersive, walk-in, virtual environments for
collaborative research, development, data analytics and scientific story telling at large.
