When it comes to partnerships in China, there are many factors to consider, including where new opportunities have emerged and how they vary between China’s city tiers and regions. In light of these considerations, this session outlines how overseas higher education institutions can rethink recruitment and partnerships in China. Presenters explore these points with data and perspectives on China's visa policy, diplomacy, economy, and media discourse and popular perceptions on study overseas.

  • Understand how regional variations in China affect broader student exchange trends, including current bilateral student flows and key travel, visa, and scholarship policy changes.
