Belonging Everywhere and Nowhere: Finding Place for Third Culture Kids

The members of this growing cross-cultural population are unique, as they are natural intercultural communicators who straddle the line between domestic and international. Learning Objectives:

  • Explore the unique identities and needs of Third Culture Kids (TCK) by discovering the intersectionality of TCK identities and analyzing recent research on their social capital and sense of belonging, with a focus on creating inclusive educational environments.
  • Identify and implement best practices for supporting Third Culture Kids by learning how institutions can effectively identify, support, and include TCKs, and develop actionable plans for promoting equity and inclusion within their unique contexts.
  • Foster collaborative advocacy and partnerships by creating and sharing actionable plans for TCK inclusion, leveraging partnerships to drive advocacy and support
