Empowering Alumni to Enrich Students’ International Education Experiences

Involving alumni in study abroad benefits everyone. Students’ experiences are enriched, staff can refer students to experts, and alumni get to give back. Establishing ways for alumni to contribute can be challenging, but it's worth the effort. Attendees leave with an understanding of how alumni at home and abroad can enhance study abroad experiences.

  • Leverage the benefits of involving alumni in education abroad, including enhanced student support, increased program visibility, and strengthened alumni relations.
  • Take actionable steps to integrating alumni into various aspects of education abroad programming.
  • Develop plans for collaboration between education abroad offices, alumni relations, advancement, strategic partnership other campus units to maximize the potential of alumni involvement.
