Developing Community Through Podcasting: A Guide to Getting Started

Create a dream podcast to share passions and build community and belonging! Designed for attendees to walk out feeling equipped with the knowledge they need to start their international education podcasts, this session covers everything from initial brainstorming, script writing and storytelling, basic editing, promotion and marketing, and much more.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the key components of developing an international education podcast, including: podcast structure, content, style, script-writing, legal considerations such as guest waivers and agreements, etc.
  • Brainstorm, individually and collectively, the ways in which creative storytelling through podcasting may catalyze attendees' personal and institutional goals for international education, as well as community-building and belonging.
