Engaging Faculty Globally: Beyond Education Abroad to Integrated Global Engagement

To pursue comprehensive internationalization, faculty need to envision global education and engagement holistically. However, services and programs encompassing international education are often fragmented or siloed. This session examines strategies for bringing together the threads of faculty global engagement to produce more unified campus global engagement and strategy.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify current institutional programs, events or other forms of faculty global engagement at their own institutions as well as where gaps might exist.
  • Identify which units facilitate holistic global engagement.
  • Strategize how to support collaborations between facilitating units at their own institutions to develop a more well-rounded, holistic portfolio of faculty global engagement.
