This session for seasoned internationalization leaders unpacks the crucial role of succession planning in sustaining momentum in the work of a global engagement office, offering a road map for developing leadership's ability to achieve strategic continuity in different organizational contexts.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the practice of succession planning and analyse the importance of evaluating the tangibles and intangibles of good leadership development within your organizational context.
  • Develop a roadmap for succession planning drawing on your experience as an internationalization leader.
  • Examine how your organizational structures and practices encourage or hinder leadership development and learn how to develop a diverse cohort for the "next generation".
