Alejandra Ma. Vilalta y Perdomo is a senior member of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Educational System, a leading private 26 campus university in Mexico, where she is Director of International Academic Development & Global Initiatives at the Vice Rectory for International Affairs.
She served in different campus in several positions such as Campus President, Dean of the Business School, Dean of the Humanities and Social Sciences School, Dean of Undergraduate School, Director of Graduate Programs and Full-time Professor among other positions. She has been the driving force behind the negotiations and agreements with enterprises, institutions and universities in different countries in America, Europe, Africa and Asia and the creation and development of new academic and non-academic programs.
Her fields of academic and consulting expertise includes: internationalization, entrepreneurship, social community development, franchises, human capital and executive protocol. She has given lectures in Brazil, Canada, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, U.S., Finland, Germany, Greece, Romania, The Netherlands, Spain, UK, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, China and Malaysia.
Having worked in businesses from her family later on she developed her own. She’s also been committed to civic engagement being an active member volunteering in different community groups and associations, leading some of their boards. She graduated first in her class from a B.A. in Management from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and holds an M.B.A. and a PhD on Humanities. She holds different individual and team merit awards.
Born and raised in Spain she moved into different cities before moving to and settle down in Mexico City. Among her hobbies and interests are traveling, reading, cooking, opera, photography, cinema, and sports like swimming, rowing, bicycling, and walking.
