Dr. Domke-Damonte serves as Associate Provost for Global Initiatives and is a tenured Professor of Management at Coastal Carolina Univrersity. A leader and developer of education abroad programs for over 30 years, she has managed the initiation of the formalized international student recruitment initiative at CCU, completed lean management reviews of processes in education abroad and international recruitment, shepherded the growth in scholarships for education abroad from $0 to over $125,000 annually, developed the emergency crisis management process and international travel risk evaluation process and mitigation protocols for CCU, introduced new formats for student mobility, coordinated the development of CCU’s Fulbright Council, initiated mentoring programs for Rotary Global Grant, Gilman, and Fulbright programs at CCU, led the development and implementation of agreements of cooperation with international partners across five continents to promote exchange, research, and cooperation, and inaugurated new programs like the International Visiting Lecturer Program, and Faculty/Staff Travel with Students for Research, Conference, and Competition Program, among others. She participated in the inaugural cohort of the NAFSA Executive Internationalization Leadership E-Institute. She previously served as Vice Chair of the Consortium of International Double Degrees, as a member of the joint task force between the Forum on Education Abroad and NAFSA on revising Best Practices for Health, Safety and Security in Education Abroad, and has served in multiple leadership roles within other professional organizations, including past president of the Southwest Academy of Management and Service Chair of Carolina Forest Sunrise Rotary Club, among others.
