Beth Lorenz joined Clemson University as the Director of Global Engagement of the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business in September 2023. In her role she provides guidance to faculty-directed programs, supports operational and logistics for programs, and directs the global engagement strategy for the college. Beth has worked in higher education for nearly 20 years in both Academic Advising and Education Abroad. Prior to Clemson University, she started with Education Abroad at Northern Kentucky University as the study abroad advisor. Following NKU, she served as the Assistant Director of the UNC Charlotte Education Abroad office. She has a B.S. in Applied Cultural Studies, and a M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She has presented at NAFSA regional and annual conferences, state conferences in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and the Terra Dotta Global conference. She has participated on panels for both the Critical Language Scholarship and the Gilman International Scholarship. She has served as the EA Representative of NCAIE, the Local Arrangements Co-Chair for the 2022 Charlotte, Region VII Conference and currently serves as Treasurer for NAFSA Region VII.
