Dulce Amor L. Dorado is the Director of Strategic Planning, Innovation and Research in Student Health and Well-Being at the University of California San Diego. Prior to her current role, Dulce served in various leadership positions in international education. Her 25+ year career includes leading a comprehensive international student and scholar services office at a large, public university; advising international students in English language programs; advising study abroad students pursuing year-long, semester, or faculty-led programs; teaching English at a public high school through the Japanese Exchange & Teaching (JET) Program; coordinating institutional partnership development and relations; and developing innovative programs to retain and engage international students in campus life. Her bachelor's degree is in political science from the University of California San Diego and master's degree is in business administration from California State University San Marcos. In 2023, Dulce was selected as a grantee for the Fulbright International Education Administrators Program in South Korea. She has also served in various volunteer roles with NAFSA and presented at numerous regional and national conferences on the recruitment, engagement, regulatory compliance, wellness, and retention of international students.
