Hiromi Narita has been in the field for 6 years. In her early career, she worked as a Student Mobility Coordinator in Mexico and handled both incoming and outgoing student exchange programs. She has an MA in Educational Leadership and Societal Change, and her thesis focused on the long-term effect of study abroad and global citizenship. Currently, she works for Kirkwood Community College as a Study Abroad Advisor. She manages multiple aspects of programs including recruiting, logistics, promotion, health and safety training, and emergency responses. Throughout her career, she has experienced handling difficult subjects, such as student death, mental health crises, suicidal attempts abroad, and other health and safety issues.
