Dr. Carolina Robinson is the Director of Education Abroad at The University of Alabama. She has strategic and operational oversight for the Education Abroad office while maintaining a focus UA’s faculty-led portfolio. Dr. Robinson has 20 years of experience in international education with expertise in strategic partnerships, grants & scholarships, budgets, curriculum integration, and international risk management. Dr. Robinson is currently the Chair-Elect for NAFSA's Education Abroad Knowledge Community, serves on several national boards for study abroad organizations, and has served as the inaugural Development Coordinator for NAFSA Region VII leadership team. Dr. Robinson contributes regularly to the field and has presented national trainings for the U.S. State Department’s Gilman and Critical Language scholarships. Originally from Colombia, South America, Dr. Robinson has earned degrees from Clemson University, the University of Georgia, and The University of Alabama. Her most important role is being a mom and cheerleader to her three kids, Andre, Elisa, and Isabella.
