Amy Bowes (she/her) is the Associate Director of the Global Education Office at Duke University. With over 15 years of experience working in higher education and study away, Amy is experienced in program development, program management, crisis response, and advising. Amy holds a B.A. in Political Science and Religious Studies from the University of Iowa and an M.A. in Comparative Politics from the University of Missouri. Amy joined Duke’s Global Education Office in 2019.
Amy has been a NAFSA member since 2010. She served as the Iowa State Representative from 2017-2018, as a trainer in Trainer Corps from 2017-2023, and currently serves as a member of the Education Abroad Knowledge Community DEI Subcommittee.
