Sannam S4/Acumen
Dr. Roger Brindley is President for Acumen (part of Sannam S4) in North America, overseeing the international partnership and consulting work with university partners in the United States and Canada (https://acumen.education).
Roger previously served as the Vice Provost for Global at the Pennsylvania State University (“Penn State”) from 2020 to 2024, where he oversaw a large team of professionals developing education abroad programs, advising international students and scholars, and fostering global partnerships. His strategic approach played a pivotal role in advancing Penn State’s comprehensive international strategy and securing funding for critical international initiatives.
Before joining Penn State, Dr. Brindley held the position of Vice President of USF World at the University of South Florida (USF). During his tenure, he managed global engagement and international student success initiatives, including an eight-year partnership with Sannam S4. In this role, Dr. Brindley oversaw the campus success for thousands of international students from diverse backgrounds, while facilitating academic experiences abroad for both students and faculty.
With a 28-year academic career, Dr. Brindley received prestigious awards, including the USF President's Award for Faculty Excellence and serving as the Executive Chair of the Commission of International initiatives at the Association of Public & Land-grant Universities (APLU). Dr. Brindley is recognized for his impactful articles in North American and European publications and has served as an editor for three international journals, while being a featured speaker at numerous international conferences.
