Gabriela Avalle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication (National University of Córdoba, Argentina) and a postgraduate degree in Project Management for International Cooperation (Complutense University of Madrid, Spain).
Currently serving as Director of International Cooperation at the National University of Córdoba (UNC. In this role, she has established collaboration agreements with over 200 universities and international organizations and coordinated institutional initiatives for academic projects.
As Coordinator of the Internationalization of the Curriculum Program at UNC, she developed a MOOC on the Development of Intercultural Competence for UNC exchange students and designed a program for the implementation of COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning), with more than 40 experiences carried out. She also led a decentralized internationalization project at UNC, integrating the decentralization initiatives of UNC’s faculties.
Member of the PROFIC team (Professional Development in Intercultural Competence in Higher Education Institutions – www.profic.org 2019-2022), sponsored by the European Union under Erasmus+ KA2 599023-EPP-1-2018-1-UK-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.
In the field of internationalization of HEIs, has conducted workshops and delivered lectures as a trainer and facilitator for faculty, staff, and students at UNC, as well as at other Argentine universities (UNICEN, UM) and international institutions (FUBerlin, La Sapienza, Central University of Costa Rica). Her expertise focuses on collaborative online international learning, curriculum internationalization, and intercultural competence development. She also served as an evaluator for internationalization practices for the OEI (Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science, and Culture).
