Nick Seamons is the Executive Director in the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at the University of Chicago. He began in this role in 2017 after spending 11 years at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL), where he worked in the International Office as an international student adviser, coordinator for campus and community programs, and eventually as associate director. Since he began at the University of Chicago, he has worked on a number of initiatives in support of the University’s international student and scholar populations, as well as internal projects specific to business continuity, job architecture and organizational structure, and the procurement and implementation of new technology. Nick worked for NAFSA: Association of International Educators as an Associate Director of Grants & Special Projects while living in Washington, D.C. prior to relocating to Chicago. Born and raised in the state of Idaho, Nick is a first-generation college student and completed his undergraduate studies at Idaho State University and went on to complete a master’s degree in communication at Northwestern University. In his free time, he enjoys all the city has to offer and when he can, he travels, spends time in the mountains, loves to cook (and eat!), and spend time with his family.
