Shahzad Ahmad is a leader in international education, currently serving as the Associate Vice President for the Center for International Studies and Multicultural Student Services at St. Cloud State University. With a Master’s in International Economics, Ahmad leads SCSU’s efforts in international student recruitment, global partnerships, and the management of the university’s international campus in Alnwick, England. He oversees education abroad and study away programs and fosters leadership development for both international students and students of color. Ahmad was instrumental in creating the Center for International Disability Advocacy and Diplomacy and chairs the Minnesota State System Global Education Committee, guiding strategic global education initiatives across the System. His work to foster global opportunities for students, particularly those from underserved backgrounds, has had a profound impact on students and the advancement of equity and internationalization in higher education.
