Global Safety Coordinator

Ryan focuses on issues related to global health, safety, and security. Some of Ryan’s day to day activities include working with faculty/staff travelers, researching world events, and briefing the Director of Global Health, Safety, and Security. Ryan graduated with a M.A. in Balkan, Eurasian, and Central European studies from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and a B.A. in International Studies and Russian area studies from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Ryan’s professional interests include issues related to international security, especially in Eastern/Central Europe. When not working, Ryan enjoys snowboarding at locations around the U.S, training in various martial arts, and traveling the world. He has visited 26 countries to date.
