Being Well Abroad
Emily is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Co-Founder of Being Well Abroad who brings her expertise to study abroad providers and participants by creating easy to use trainings that foster resiliency, safety, and growth. Emily has been a counselor for 14 years and is specialized in helping young people thrive by counseling, coaching, and teaching the adults around them about their developmental and mental health needs.
Being Well Abroad's offerings include live and on-demand open group trainings for staff, customized workshops or consultation for organizations, an asynchronous Mental Health Mini-Course for students/participants that includes an individualized wellness plan across travel, and credentialing for Mental Health-Informed Global Education Leaders.
In addition to providing evidence-based mental health interventions and consultation to individuals, families, and organizations, Emily has lived, worked, and studied in over 15 countries around the world; she believes in the power of travel to disrupt patterns of thinking and growth trajectories and has seen its transcendent ability to touch people in a way that accelerates transformation and maturity.
