Bill McShane is the Associate Director for Integrated Learning at the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
Bill developments, implements and assesses experiential learning programming both in the Pittsburgh region and globally. Locally, this includes the Katz Bridge Program (a program for students to work with community-based partners) and the Pennsylvania Robotics & Technology Fellowships (part of a federal grant to support student teams consulting with small and medium sized manufacturers in the Southwest Pennsylvania region). As part of his global programming role, Bill works to strengthen the academic and professional quality of courses with international travel components and is currently the primary manager for graduate global programming and initiatives at the business school. Bill has led student study abroad programs to the United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany and Japan. Bill also traveled as part of a delegation to Johannesburg, South Africa to implement new programming and partnerships through the Gordon Institute of Business Science (University of Pretoria), part of Pitt's Africa Business Initiative.
Prior to joining Katz, Bill worked for nearly four years at the Institute of International Education in Washington, DC, managing U.S. and Visiting Fulbright Scholar grants to Europe. He holds a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and received a Fulbright U.S. Student grant to Hannover, Germany for 2009-2010. Bill is fluent in German.
