Orsolya Jánosy is the head of the International Relations Office of the University of Debrecen (UD), Hungary, with 25 years of experience in international education. Her main focus areas include managing study abroad programs, developing joint degrees, establishing inter-institutional agreements, and recruiting international students. Through her work, she plays a crucial role in enhancing the university's global engagement, international collaborations and promoting a multicultural, inclusive, student-friendly learning environment on UD’s campuses.
UD is one of Hungary's largest higher education institutions, with a total enrollment of 30,000 students, including 7,300 international students from 134 countries of the world. With 25% of its student body made up of international students (two-thirds coming from the Global South, primarily Africa and Asia) studying in the 90 English-taught degree programs, the university promotes a truly multicultural environment, catering to the needs of its diverse community.
