Assistant Dean and Director
University of Wisconsin Madison
Chris Pevey Harry is currently the Assistant Dean and Director of Academic Outreach at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He oversees academic enrichment programming for international and domestic students aged 7-18 seeking precollege immersion experiences that help them understand the U.S. higher education landscape. His work provides students with the opportunity to become global citizens. That includes thinking at a high level and sharing with peers from a variety of backgrounds, which in turn will also help students be better prepared for college.
Chris has extensive experience working in precollege programming, international education, academic affairs, and student services. He has lived, worked, and studied abroad in the U.S., U.K., and Italy, providing a nuanced understanding of the global academic environment. Chris is committed to promoting student access and embracing diversity in education, especially in study abroad and international education programs. He also has a passion for running short-term international and summer programs.
Later this summer, Chris will transition to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as the Chief Student Success Officer (CSSO), overseeing the Student Success Center and Pathway Advising, working collaboratively with the academic advising and student success programs across campus, and leading campus-wide retention efforts.
