Elizabeth Strong brings over 15 years of expertise to the topic of risk assessment and crisis management. As Director of Education Abroad at Missouri State University, Elizabeth leads the university's health and safety team, where she coordinates emergency response protocols and addresses international risk management issues. Her adeptness at adapting strategies and operations during the pandemic—when she successfully facilitated safe student evacuations —demonstrates her ability to navigate challenges under pressure. Elizabeth was awarded the Fulbright International Education Administrators Award for South Korea in 2023. Elizabeth authored the chapter Career Paths and Mentoring in NAFSA’s Guide to Education Abroad (2022). She earned The Forum on Education Abroad's Professional Certification in the Standards of Good Practice in 2021 and serves as a Forum Assessor. Additionally, Elizabeth is a NAFSA Trainer Corps member.
