Daja DuBois, M.A. (she/they), is a Student Advisor at UC Berkeley's Summer Sessions, Study Abroad, Lifelong Learning, and Extension department. She is an educator, advisor, and advocate dedicated to uplifting historically underrepresented, first-generation, transfer, and international students. Born and raised on the unceded land of the Suisunes-Patwin Tribe (also known as Solano County), they have worked across multiple touchpoints of California’s higher education system, developing programming that fosters inclusion, belonging, student success, and professional development. Holding a B.A. and M.A. in Women & Gender Studies from San Francisco State University, Daja's holistic advising style is shaped by feminist theory, community care practices, and their lived experience as a first-generation, low-income student. They are passionate about helping nontraditional students harness their strengths and thrive in academic spaces.
