Cara Miller is a Study Abroad Advisor for term-long, non faculty-led programs in Europe at DePaul University Study Abroad. She has been enthusiastically traveling the world since 2003 and is passionate about encouraging others to study, work and volunteer abroad. Cara earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from DePaul University and a Master’s degree from the World Learning School for International Training Graduate Institute Program in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management (PIM69). Cara taught students in 7th-12th grade in Chicago Public Schools; has led high school and university-level student groups to France, Spain and Italy; has managed study abroad programs in the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific region, and in Sub-saharan Africa; and briefly worked at the Australian Embassy in Washington D.C as well as the Australian Consulate in Chicago as a Public Diplomacy Officer. As a Study Abroad Advisor, Cara enjoys helping students develop into competent global citizens and engaging with other international education professionals in our professional learning communities.
