Trang Nguyen, MS

Associate Director
University of Alabama Capstone International Center

Trang Nguyen is an experienced professional in international education and currently serves as the Associate Director of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) at the University of Alabama (UA). She holds a Master's Degree from Colorado State University and has extensive experience advising F-1 and J-1 students and scholars, processing J-1 and H-1B applications, managing budgets and staff.

Trang has a strong passion for international education and a deep commitment to supporting the success of international students and scholars. She strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the international community, drawing from her own experience as an international student to provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities that they face.

In her current role as Associate Director of International Programs at the University of Alabama, Trang oversees multiple workflows within the ISSS office, including the day-to-day operations, staff supervision, process improvements, and liaison support for the international student and scholar community.

In addition to her extensive professional experience, Trang is a long-standing member of NAFSA and has served as Alabama State Representative, NAFSA volunteer, presenter, and leader. Her leadership and involvement in NAFSA demonstrate her commitment to promoting international education and supporting the success of international students and scholars.
