Jody Dixon is an intercultural facilitator, international project manager, and educator with over a decade of experience in international education, recruitment, and advising. Currently pursuing a doctorate at Howard University, her research delves into the intersections of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), the global Black diaspora, and the role of emerging technologies in fostering student engagement, self-efficacy, and competency. Her work reflects her deep commitment to empowering students and building inclusive educational spaces. As the Assistant Director of International Education and Global Initiatives at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), Jody spearheads efforts to promote global learning and institutional internationalization. Her career includes prior roles advising and recruiting graduate students for American University's School of Education and serving as a TESOL-certified Assistant Language Teacher and trainer on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program.
