Aloha Ireland! Exploring Place-Based Education Parallels Between Hawaii and Ireland

Honolulu Community College educators traveled to Ireland to explore Place-Based education and the parallels between Hawai’i and Ireland. The two islands share parallels in colonization, cultural suppression, the revival of indigenous culture and customs, and to use storytelling as a means to inspire students and program participants to embrace their place.
