U.S. Priorities for Expanding Study Abroad Partnerships in the Mediterranean

The U.S. Missions to Greece and Cyprus are dedicated to expanding the U.S. institutions and students engaged in international programming in the Mediterranean. This session will highlight U.S. Department of State priorities, strategies, and resources for U.S. institutions looking to increase their international partnerships in the region.
Learning Objectives:
Define the higher education and study abroad landscape in Greece and Cyprus, including local institutions’ strengths and goals, local government policies and priorities, and U.S. Department of State strategies for increasing partnerships and student mobility.
Identify challenges and opportunities for developing partnerships and expanding U.S. student mobility to the region, with a focus on engaging institutions and student groups traditionally underrepresented in study abroad.
Identify potential institutional partners in Greece and Cyprus, align program goals, ensure impactful, sustainable study abroad programs and explore specific funding and training options.
