2:30 PM – 3:20 PM PST
Every year, the HALI Access Network supports over 2,000 highly talented youth from low-income communities across sub-Saharan Africa to access university education abroad. About 55% of this cohort are awarded full need-based financial aid/scholarships and go on to enroll in universities outside of their home countries, where they navigate tremendous challenges to thrive on campus and post-graduation. Join this session to discuss some of the unique challenges low-income African students face on international campuses and learn how you can collaborate with a network of access organizations on the continent to make higher education more inclusive for these students.
Learning Objectives:
Learn about the unique challenges of African students in higher education.
Create strategies and collaborate for enhanced support of African students.
