Flyndon Mark S. Dagalea is an instructor at the University of Eastern Philippines, where he also earned his B.S. in Chemistry. He is currently finishing his M.S. in Biochemistry at the University of the Philippines Manila.
He has actively contributed to the field through multiple research projects, particularly in the antimicrobial applications of natural products and the development of bioplastics and biosynthesized nanoparticles. His work has been presented at national and regional scientific conferences, and he has received awards such as the NAST Visayas regional cluster People’s Choice and Engagement Award for his research on antimicrobial textiles and multiple best poster recognitions. His professional affiliations include memberships in the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines, the National Research Council of the Philippines, and the Philippine Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
