Kirsten Greene, MA oversees International Experiences and Career Services for all students in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington, as well as manages the UW School of Medicine’s Global Health Pathway programs (Global Health Clinical Elective and Global Health Immersion Program). She earned her BA from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA in International Studies and Spanish Language and Literature, where she studied abroad in Mexico, Spain, and New Zealand. She earned her MA in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA, where she focused on best practices in program design and assessment.
Kirsten has wide experience in international education. She has managed study abroad and exchange programs, visiting scholar programs, and internationally focused student organizations and student leadership initiatives. She has advised F-1 and J-1 international students and scholars, and has taught graduate-level courses in program design and assessment as adjunct faculty at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA. She is especially interested in how service learning, international education programming, and Global North-Global South partnerships can strengthen social justice initiatives in higher education.
