100 Years of Purpose: International Houses Worldwide and International Education

The role of international residential and program centers for universities is critical. International Houses Worldwide (I-House) aspires to achieve enlightened international relations, a global citizenry, and a more peaceful and just world. As I-House celebrates its 100th year, presenters assess its purpose, place, and partnership within international education.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore the history of International Houses Worldwide and their purpose through mission-driven programming.
  • Address the impact of International Living and Learning Centers on alumni by reviewing the findings of the 2023 I-House-NYC Impact Study.
  • Develop strategies for partnerships between Living and Learning Centers, universities, and community-based organizations.
  • Increase cultural intelligence by bringing people together from all over the world to live in community.
