  • Analyze the concept of “place” in visa advising and consider how place factors into privilege within the visa process based on personal and geopolitical identities.
  • Empower students to become global citizens by cultivating the skills needed to navigate foreign environments confidently. Acquire a holistic approach to immigration advising that reframes obtaining a visa from a barrier to a tool for building resilience, responsibility, and the ability to handle ambiguity.
  • Identify key partners (students, consulates, providers, families, campus units) and their priorities in the visa advising process, and develop strategies to enhance collaboration with these partners.
