Senior Program Manager, Intercultural Programming and Engagement

Stephanie Bowers is currently pursuing her Doctor in Education in Education Policy, Organization & Leadership through the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her concentrations are in Global Studies in Education (sub-concentration: International Education, Administration & Leadership) and Diversity and Equity in Education. Professionally, she has over a decade of experience in international education (Teaching English as a New Language, one-person office of International Services, and Intercultural Learning). Currently, she works at Purdue University as the Senior Program Manager, Intercultural Programming and Engagement. She oversees the programming and engagement for Global Partnerships & Programs, including international students and scholars, and the Global Ambassador Program. In addition, she is the founder of the Cross-Cultural Association (student organization for Third Culture Kids), and the primary advisor for the Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) Student Union and the Iranian Cultural Club. She is passionate about creating a supportive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for various international populations.
