Dr. Katherine Punteney is a faculty member of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies where she teaches courses in International Education Management and Intercultural Competence. She has expertise in curriculum design, training and facilitation, and experiential learning. Her research focuses on internationalization and intercultural education and draws on more than 25 years of experience as an international educator. She is the author of The International Education Handbook: Principles and Practices of the Field and currently serves as past-chair of NAFSA’s Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship knowledge community. Her previous roles include Coordinator of International Student Services and Campus Internationalization at California State University, Chico and Program Manager for the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts international center in Pune, India.
