Dr. Andrea Čajková, PhD, is an associate professor and research scholar at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Saint Cyril and Methodius in Trnava (UCM). She has over 15 years of academic experience in the fields of public administration, public policy, management and innovation in the public sector, digitalization, and Smart Governance. From 2018 to 2022, she served as the Vice Dean for Science, Research, and Quality at the Faculty of Social Sciences at UCM. She has experience in international academia and collaboration with prestigious institutions, including the EU DG Joint Research Centre, NISPAcee, and many others. She is the lead or co-researcher on several significant national and international scientific projects. Her research focuses on modern trends in public administration management, public policy, sustainable development, public service quality, and innovation in strategic management, as well as civic participation, where she collaborates closely with, for example, the Trnava Self-Governing Region.
Since October 2022, she has held the position of Vice Rector for International Relations, where she focuses on the strategic development of the university's internationalization, strengthening academic partnerships, and enhancing UCM's global visibility. As part of her agenda, she is dedicated to expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation with renowned universities and research institutions worldwide. She actively participates in the implementation of international research and educational projects, supports student and staff mobility, and works to improve the conditions for international students and researchers at UCM
