World at Hand
Shawn Wall is the Founder and Executive Director of World at Hand, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to international education for underrepresented students. He launched World at Hand in 2020 to serve his home neighborhood, and it has since grown to support students across Denver and throughout Colorado. A passionate advocate for equitable global learning opportunities, he has lived and worked across the globe for nearly a decade and has developed programs that allow others the same opportunity. Under his leadership, World at Hand received the 2024 IIE Empower Award for its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in international education. World at Hand’s Global Scholars Pathway provides a holistic, structured approach to breaking down financial and systemic barriers to international experiences. Based in Denver, Colorado, Shawn has built partnerships, secured funding, and created initiatives that support first-time travelers, first-generation students, low-income students, and those from historically excluded communities. With a background in business management, entrepreneurship, and international education, he is dedicated to access and equity within the field, cross-cultural engagement, nonprofit development, and fostering globally focused future leaders.
