International Programs Manager & Communications Specialist

Keri Toma Loehrer, Ed.D. is the International Programs Manager and Communications Specialist at San José State University, where she designs co-curricular programs that help international students connect, engage, explore, and thrive. She is passionate about supporting student success both in and out of the classroom. Keri earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership, focusing her research on intercultural learning, student leadership development, and the international student experience. Keri also holds a Masters in Teaching Foreign Language, a Masters in International Education Management, and a certificate in Language Program Administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. She is an active NAFSA member, joining Trainer Corps in 2019, and sitting on the Region XII Leadership Team between 2019-2023, where she served as Region XII Chair in 2022. Keri is currently serving as the Chair of the national NAFSA Regional Affairs Committee.
