Models for Sustainability Action in International Education

Sustainability requires best practices and tools that can be easily replicated. This session demonstrates models of sustainability that have been successfully implemented within a university and organizations that promote sustainability. International education practitioners gain insights into practices that they can integrate into their programs.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply tools such as the Climate Action Barometer in international education,
  • Develop best practices and models of sustainability from university leaders who have achieved results such as being ranked 1st in sustainability in THE Impact rankings for three consecutive years,
  • Apply learnings from organizations that have successfully integrated sustainability within international education programs in host countries,
  • Implement ways to measure sustainability to understand an institution's role in comparison with organizations across the globe.
